My name is Rakesh P and I'm an experienced male carer with over 8 years of experience in providing hourly and overnight care services to residents who display hightened challenging and aggressive behavior. Throughout my career, I have developed a set of attributes that define my approach towards caring, including a caring nature, a friendly attitude, and a helpful disposition.
My motivation for being a carer stems from my dedication to helping people lead independent lives. I find it deeply fulfilling to support individuals to maintain their dignity, overcome challenges and achieve a good quality of life in their own homes. I can drive and have my own vehicle, which allows me to provide flexible care services to clients.
I have a diverse set of skills that allows me to provide comprehensive care, from assistance with dressing and toileting to catheter care and companionship. Over the years, I have worked with clients with mild cognitive impairment, Parkinson's disease, anxiety, depression, and bedbound individuals. When I'm not caring, I indulge in hobbies such as painting, walking, DIY, socialising and playing video games. I am also okay with pets, including cats, dogs, fish, rabbits, and birds.
